Welcome to the universe of

Ethics operationalized

Where I can explore
THE PROCESSES AND CRITERIA
MY BRAIN USES TO
MAKE ETHICS JUDGMENTS
AND DECIDE HOW TO ACT

so I can think, discuss, and do ethics more effectively

Some assembly required and results may vary,
but if I invest 5 minutes to work down this web page
I can learn new ideas to understand
how the brain I have for doing ethics

is different from the brain I think I have.
And I can acquire new terminology to use in ethics situations,
all at no cost but the time it takes me.

And . . . wait for the sales pitch . . . wait for it. . .

I can learn how to access the online videos and text material in

Noggin - My Brain on Ethics

at a bargain price, given the importance of ethics in my life.

Most ethics instruction teaches me

to direct my reflective reasoning to judge right and wrong
by applying ethics standards or tests to the facts in a situation.
What did my parents say when I did something unethical?

“What were you thinking?"

This website recognizes the importance of ethical thinking

by giving me free access to some easily remembered ethics tests

and recipes for how to apply them.

What the online course Noggin - My Brain on Ethics shows me,

which many other ethics textbooks and courses don't,

is that consciously directing my reasoning is only one of several processes that I use
to make ethics judgments and decide how to act

and that understanding each of these processes is important

to being effectively ethical.

This video of Noggin’s map of My Brain on Ethics
gives me a quick look at these processes
and at terminology to think and talk about
how I can do them more effectively.

get a brief description of Noggin – My Brain on Ethics, a set of online courses with video and text material, packaged and priced for different audiences, that help me learn and teach others about the ethics processes and ethics criteria used by the multi-process and multi-criteria brain that I have

sample free material on this website from
Noggin’s Lesson 4 to learn ideas and
terminology to better use the ethics tests that are the criteria for the reasoned ethical judgments that I am already making.

To learn more about the ideas and terminology that the map shows me,

I can also see how these ethics tests are applied in two case studies.

I can then decide whether and how I want to access Noggin’s resources,
based on who I am and why I arrived at this website:

who wants to be more confident and effective when judging and
acting ethically, and
when discussing what’s right and wrong with others,
I should look at the
